Britney looked very strange arriving in her Dolce and Gabbana outfit at the Grammy's tonight at the Staples Center L.A.
PINK won hands down for her amazin' performance flyin' high above the audience, Kev and I got flippin' soaked sittin' right underneath her as she sprayed water over us all.
TAYLOR SWIFT walked away with the GRAMMY ALBUM OF THE YEAR presumably for her tone deaf singin' tonight and her latest album "Talentless" !!

RAG AND BONE PRE FALL 2010

As we all know Marcus Wainright & David Neville have no formal training that's why a few years ago they asked my advice as to what they should call their new company. I joked and said HORSE & CART they laughed and called it RAG & BONE and the rest as they say is history!

'Inspired by the romantic past where children would come running out at the shouts of "Rag and Bone" to collect sweets and candies in exchange for items they loaded onto his cart'

WELL.... my memory of a Rag & Bone man was slightly different...... a stinkin' cart pulled by a skeletal half blind cart horse that hadn't eaten a decent meal in weeks and was beaten on a daily basis by a filthy old bloke who picked up any old rubbish and dumped it in a rat infested yard that all the locals hated cus it was an eyesore!
(Of course the above pic in no way relates to my personal memory of a Rag & Bone man)

Anyway l digress Sienna Miller loves to wear Rag & Bone and here she is with Steptoe & Son below:
She is always welcome down my sewer, in fact she rang me the other day talking about performin' on Broadway she said "I'm living my dream ROL, and that's all you can ask for". I said... well luv a decent set of reviews would have been good!!! She laughed, she fancies me I know, I just gotta get rid of Hamlit before I can make a move. Then ratfans I will be like a rat up a drainpipe yeahhhhhhhhhhh!
Anyway I digress (again) cus we are here to talk fashion and whot could be better than a see through top, apart from the fact everyone else is doin' it this fall!

Marcus rang me to ask if it was a little risque, I said no mate Wang's doin' it too, so there's no problem! ABOVE.......NICE.
BELOW........ NOT SO NICEGorgeous model Karolin Wolter told me she was actually picked for her cart horse like legs. When asked how much she got for the shoot she told me "An old gas cooker, a two bar electric fire with flame effect and 13 ft of lead piping" I said to her at least the stove could come in handy, but she said neither appliances worked! I told her from the outset ya work with Rag & Bone they'll pull somethin' off the cart in lieu of payment....she wouldn't listen...it's her own fault!!!

The wonderfully trendy fashion, music and style magazine LOVE has asked me to help 'em out cus I know all the top designers personally..... 'Two pints of Lagerfeld' has been a friend of mine for years!
So in their infinite wisdom I now have an official title 'CONTRIBUTING FASHION RAT AT LARGE' and you lucky people can look forward to the legends of the fashion world being interviewed by a rodent showbiz legend plus of course all the new collections will be previewed by yours truly (If TAVI a 13 yr old nobody can worm her way into the fashion world, get a load of freebies and a deal at TARGET I'm sure there's room for a 4'6"rodent!) ..........so ratfans let the fun commence yeahhhhhhhhh!

YOHJI'S GONE BUST!!!

My old mate YOHJI called me on me iphone last week he was on for hours and ya know how hot them iphones get, it nearly burnt me ear!!! Then of course the battery nearly ran out as usual! (Well it didn't really I made that up just to get rid of him he'd have been on all day otherwise cryin' his eyes out)
Why was he ringin' thefashionrat I hear ya ask? He wanted me to lend him a few quid he said..."ROL I need new backers otherwise I'll have to shut the New York store " I said don't be ridiculous ask yer brother KANSAI he's loaded!! He said it 'aint his brother and that there's hundreds of YAMAMOTO'S in Japan so it's like been called Smith.
Well how was l supposed to know? But it does explain why his stuff was always better than yours and why BOWIE nicked all KANSAI'S ideas in 1971 for his ALADDIN SANE tour. Anyway I digress, I told him YOHJI you're a legend in the fashion world mate ya can't be broke? He said it was only to the tune of $67 million.... it was then I realised how useless my mate was!
I said to him look YOHJI ..YES I'm loaded but NO I 'aint bailin' ya out mate... open a chain of Japanese fast food joints instead.... diversify luvvie! He hung up on me in tears bless him. Two days later he'd boarded up the New York shop, I feel guilty now I could have bailed him out couldn't I... but the thing is I'd just had CHRISTIAN LACROIX on the phone in tears beggin' me to lend him ten million Euros' so he don't go bust...what's thefashionrat to do in these hard times, I mean if VIVIEN WESTFIELD ever asked me for money that would be different l'd always lend her a couple a quid especially since they named that shoppin' mall after her in Shepherds Bush...whot an honour...she's a Dame and she's got a shoppin' centre named after her...it don't get much better than that ratfans yeahhhh!
